"Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so .../
/...One short sleep past, we take eternally,
And Death shall be no more :
Death, thou shalt
die."

( Excerpt from "Death,Be Not Proud", by John Donne. )

For most of us da thought of a Life Eternal, may be even scarier dan da thought of Death itself, tho .A theme dat´s been used in da Arts over & over : " Without the knowledge of our own mortality, life would be...unbearable."
And maybe so , maybe our lives have to be dis constant struggle between Eros & Thanatos./ In beginnin of February, wid spring comin on strong, life´s sweet, howevva. And I´d say it´s safe to bet one´s last dime on Eros !
